Holy Trinity Youth Group FundraiserIn 2006, the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Juneau, Alaska was destroyed in a fire, and we are in the process of rebuilding. The Holy Trinity Youth Group has taken on FUND RAISING to finish the kitchen area in our new building. The cost is estimated at $100,000. That seems like a lot of money until you figure out how much it cost to get things to Alaska. Juneau is a remote community which means you can only get here by boat or airplane. That makes everything expensive. So we decided to contact Episcopal Churches in the States and ask them to help us by having their own FUND RAISERS to help us raise the money needed to finish the kitchen. The kitchen is important to us because when its done we can make stuff to eat when the youth group meets, and we can also use it to host events in our community. When we had our old church, we did a lot of cooking, and many groups used our facilities. In return for you helping us, we will hold a drawing. The winner of the drawing will get a trip to Juneau, Alaska in the summer of 2011. We looked into how contests work and there are always lots of rules - but we will try and keep this simple:
We will provide:
